Rural Internet is published by Horse Hill LLC. It exists because the honest answer to "what internet can I get out here" is buried in a federal dataset that is not written for the people who need it.
Provider coverage maps are marketing. National comparison sites are built around the providers that pay the most and rarely know that a local wireless operator on a ridge is the best service in the county. The FCC's own filings are more honest than either, and almost nobody reads them, because they arrive as a very large file rather than an answer.
So we turn them into an answer, one county at a time, and we say plainly what the data cannot tell you as well as what it can. See how we know what we publish.
If we have something wrong
Coverage data is provider-reported and it is sometimes wrong. If a page says something is available where you live and it is not, that is worth knowing, both to us and to the FCC, which runs a formal challenge process for exactly this. Corrections are welcome and we would rather be told.
